Read the rent terms before you fall for the photos

Each rental page sets out four things beyond the monthly figure: the deposit, the service charge, the lease term and what is included in the rent. Read them together.

• Monthly rent plus service charge is closer to your real monthly cost than the rent alone.
• The deposit is what you need in hand before you move in.
• The lease term tells you how long you are committing to the place.
• What is included decides whether other bills sit on top of the rent.

Apply in a few minutes

The Apply to Rent form asks for your full name, phone number, email, preferred move-in date and the number of people who will live there, with space for a short note.
